Getting Test Ready - Student Den

We offer reviews for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry and Precalculus classes – or whatever you or your child needs.

Our tutors or EmpowerMates will do practice tests with you, review homework, review past tests, whatever you or your child needs to help you better understand the key content and strategy.

    Academic Strengths:

Our EmpowerMates are super proficient in their subject area(s) and are matched with your student based on his/her academic weaknesses. The EmpowerMAaes often even know the teachers who teach the courses, as they have had them already. This can be very insightful and helpful to the process.

    Availability:

Our EmpowerMates are matched with your student based on your scheduling preferences. Whether it’s after school, weekends, evenings, or during academic breaks, our EmpowerMates can accommodate even the busiest academic or athletic schedules.

    Personality:

We match our EmpowerMates with your student based on complementary personality traits. We currently have a freshman athlete being tutored by the Captain of the football team. We try hard to have the same EmpowerMate teach your child every time so that rapport can develop. This rapport often carries over to the school, which is a great esteem-raiser for the child being tutored, well for both kids really! High fives in the hallways, someone to share a quick word with, and a friendly face are what we hear about all the time.

We can also get you ready for the ‘MOTHER’ of all tests – the ACT or SAT.  We schedule you with a package of sessions or single sessions.

    Meet Our EmpowerMates TM

The EmpowerMateTM is a student the same age as your child, or just a few years older, who is a peer mentor.

We added the element of the EmpowerMateTM for students who need assistance — whether homework help, study skills, or just plain old emotional support — because we found students want to do better for other students than if it were a parent or another teacher. It's that simple.
